Answers to common questions about our Roof Maintenance Plans in Bicester
What makes Ox Roofing Ltd a reliable choice for my roofing project?
Check us rather than take our word for it. We're registered at Companies House as OX ROOFING LTD (number 12662698), registered with the NFRC Competent Person Scheme for flat and pitched roofing, and SSIP approved for health and safety until January 2027. We're also rated 4.9 out of 5 from 13 Google reviews.
Do I need Building Regulations approval to re-roof?
Usually, yes, if 50% or more of the roof covering is being replaced. You can apply to Building Control yourself or use a Competent Person Scheme roofer. We're NFRC CPS registered, so on a qualifying re-roof we self-certify the work, the scheme notifies building control and you get a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. Repairs such as slipped tiles or lead flashing aren't covered by this.
What kind of guarantees do you offer with your roofing work?
Qualifying domestic re-roofs registered with the NFRC Competent Person Scheme come with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee where the scheme requires one. It's designed to protect you even if the contractor stops trading. It doesn't automatically cover repairs or small jobs, so ask us what applies to your work before you book.
Do you handle emergency roof repairs if I have sudden damage?
Yes. Call us as soon as you can. We'll talk you through anything you can safely do in the meantime, then visit as quickly as we can to make the roof safe and stop more water getting in. Once it's secure, we'll explain what caused the problem and quote for a lasting repair.
Is roof maintenance really worth it?
Yes, because it stops small problems becoming expensive ones. Moss holds moisture against your tiles, and blocked gutters overflow and cause damp. A regular check and gutter clear catches problems early. If you'd rather not have to remember, our 365 Protection Plans include scheduled inspections and gutter clearing.
What can I expect when your team works on my property?
Respect for your home, a tidy site and updates on how the job is going. We take photos as we go, so you can see the parts you can't see from the ground. Our health and safety is independently assessed under SSIP. As Laurence wrote in a Google review, "Jason has carried out plenty of projects for us over the past, Always a great result even the more complex jobs."
